Payment Policy

Effective Date: 1st July, 2026

Last Updated: 1st July, 2026

At AETERNUM, we are committed to providing a secure, transparent, and seamless payment experience for every customer. Whether you choose to pay online or through Cash on Delivery (COD), we strive to ensure that every transaction is processed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the highest standards of security and customer service.

This Payment Policy explains the payment methods accepted by AETERNUM, how payments are processed, the responsibilities of customers when making purchases, and the procedures applicable to payment verification, pricing, promotional offers, duplicate payments, failed transactions, and payment-related disputes.

All payments made through the AETERNUM Website are processed through authorised third-party payment service providers using secure payment infrastructure. AETERNUM does not directly process or store sensitive payment authentication information such as complete card numbers, CVV numbers, UPI PINs, banking passwords, or One-Time Passwords (OTPs).

By placing an order through the AETERNUM Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Payment Policy together with our Terms of Service, Shipping Policy, Returns, Exchanges & Store Credit Policy, Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Product Customisation Policy, and all other applicable policies published on the AETERNUM Website.

1. Scope

This Payment Policy applies to all purchases made directly through the official AETERNUM Website.

Payments relating to corporate orders, institutional purchases, wholesale transactions, customised bulk orders, or other business-to-business (B2B) arrangements shall be governed by separate contractual agreements and are not covered by this Policy unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

AETERNUM currently accepts payment through one or more of the following methods, subject to availability at the time of checkout:

  • Credit Cards.
  • Debit Cards.
  • Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
  • Net Banking.
  • Digital Wallets.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD), where available.
  • Any other payment methods introduced by AETERNUM from time to time.

The availability of specific payment methods may vary depending upon your delivery location, order value, product category, promotional campaigns, operational requirements, or other factors determined by AETERNUM.

AETERNUM reserves the right to introduce, modify, suspend, or discontinue any payment method at any time without prior notice.

3. Pricing & Taxes

All prices displayed on the AETERNUM Website are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR).

Unless otherwise expressly stated, all prices displayed on the Website are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Shipping charges, Cash on Delivery charges, expedited delivery fees, same-day delivery charges, or any other applicable service charges shall be displayed separately during checkout before the customer confirms the order.

While AETERNUM makes every reasonable effort to ensure accurate pricing, typographical errors, technical issues, system malfunctions, or human errors may occasionally result in incorrect pricing or promotional information being displayed.

In such circumstances, AETERNUM reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order placed using an incorrect price, whether or not payment has already been received. Where payment has been successfully collected for an order cancelled due to a pricing error, the amount paid shall be refunded to the original payment method.

4. Payment Processing

All online payments are securely processed through authorised third-party payment service providers using industry-standard security protocols.

Depending upon the payment method selected, customers may be redirected to secure payment gateways operated by authorised providers for payment authentication and transaction processing.

A payment shall be considered successfully received only after AETERNUM receives confirmation from the relevant payment service provider.

Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance of the order. Orders remain subject to payment verification, product availability, fraud screening, and acceptance by AETERNUM.

If a payment cannot be successfully authorised, verified, or completed, the associated order may be delayed, placed on hold, or cancelled.

5. Cash on Delivery (COD)

Cash on Delivery ("COD") is offered for eligible orders and serviceable locations at the sole discretion of AETERNUM.

Where COD is available, customers shall be required to pay a ₹600 Cash on Delivery Confirmation Fee during checkout.

This amount:

  • Confirms the customer's intent to purchase.
  • Secures the order for processing.
  • Shall be adjusted against the total order value payable upon delivery.

Where a COD order is cancelled before dispatch in accordance with our Cancellation Policy, the COD Confirmation Fee shall be refunded to the original payment method.

AETERNUM reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or withdraw Cash on Delivery for individual customers, products, locations, or orders where misuse, repeated order refusals, excessive cancellations, fraudulent activity, or operational limitations are identified.

6. Payment Verification

To protect both our customers and AETERNUM from fraudulent or unauthorised transactions, certain orders may be subject to payment verification before they are processed or dispatched.

AETERNUM reserves the right to verify payment information, customer identity, billing details, delivery information, or any other information reasonably necessary to confirm the legitimacy of an order.

Payment verification may be conducted where, including but not limited to:

  • The order value exceeds internal verification thresholds.
  • Billing and delivery information appear inconsistent.
  • Multiple unsuccessful payment attempts have been made.
  • The transaction is identified as potentially fraudulent or high-risk.
  • Multiple orders are placed within a short period.
  • Any unusual purchasing behaviour is detected.
  • Additional verification is reasonably necessary to protect AETERNUM or the customer.

During verification, dispatch of the order may be temporarily delayed until the verification process has been completed.

Failure to provide requested information within a reasonable period may result in cancellation of the order.

7. Failed or Declined Payments

Occasionally, online payment transactions may fail or be declined due to circumstances beyond AETERNUM's control.

Common reasons include:

  • Insufficient funds.
  • Incorrect payment information.
  • Bank authorisation failure.
  • Payment gateway interruption.
  • Network or technical issues.
  • Expired payment instruments.
  • Security restrictions imposed by the customer's financial institution.

Where a payment fails, no order shall be considered confirmed unless successful payment authorisation is subsequently received.

Customers are encouraged to verify payment details with their bank or payment service provider before attempting another transaction.

AETERNUM shall not be responsible for losses, delays, bank charges, or other consequences arising solely from payment failures attributable to third-party payment providers, financial institutions, or customer-related issues.

8. Duplicate Payments

If a customer is charged more than once for the same order due to a verified technical error or payment processing issue, AETERNUM will investigate the matter promptly.

Upon verification that a duplicate payment has been successfully received for the same order, the duplicate amount shall be refunded to the original payment method used during the transaction.

Customers reporting duplicate payments may be requested to provide:

  • Order number.
  • Payment reference or transaction ID.
  • Bank confirmation or payment receipt.
  • Any other information reasonably required to investigate the transaction.

Refund timelines shall depend upon the payment method used and the processing times of the relevant payment service provider or financial institution.

9. Promotional Codes, Discounts & Gift Benefits

From time to time, AETERNUM may offer promotional codes, discounts, complimentary gifts, loyalty rewards, referral benefits, or other promotional incentives.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Promotional codes must be used in accordance with their published terms and conditions.
  • Only one promotional offer may be applied to an order unless expressly permitted by AETERNUM.
  • Promotional offers remain subject to availability and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn without prior notice.

Where an order placed using a promotional code or discount is cancelled before dispatch, any refund shall be based solely on the actual amount paid by the customer after application of the relevant promotion.

AETERNUM reserves the right to cancel, refuse, or recover promotional benefits obtained through fraud, misuse, technical manipulation, or any violation of the applicable promotional terms.

  • Request supporting documentation from the customer.
  • Submit relevant order, delivery, payment, or communication records to the relevant financial institution or payment service provider.
  • Recover any losses incurred as a result of fraudulent or abusive chargeback activity where permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this section limits any rights available to customers under applicable law.

12. Customer Responsibilities

Customers making payments through the AETERNUM Website are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate billing and payment information.
  • Ensuring sufficient funds or payment limits are available before initiating a transaction.
  • Safeguarding their payment credentials, passwords, PINs, and One-Time Passwords (OTPs).
  • Promptly reporting any suspected unauthorised transaction relating to their order.
  • Reviewing order details carefully before completing payment.
  • Complying with this Payment Policy and all other applicable AETERNUM policies.

Customers remain solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their payment credentials and should never share sensitive authentication information with AETERNUM or any third party.

14. Limitation of Payment Liability

While AETERNUM makes every reasonable effort to ensure secure and reliable payment processing, certain payment services are provided through independent third-party financial institutions and authorised payment service providers.

Accordingly, AETERNUM shall not be responsible for delays, interruptions, losses, or failures arising solely from:

  • Banking network outages.

  • Internet or telecommunications disruptions.
  • Delays by financial institutions.
  • Customer device or software issues.
  • Incorrect payment information submitted by the customer.
  • Unauthorised use of payment credentials resulting from the customer's failure to maintain their confidentiality.
