Every aeternum product is crafted using carefully selected fabrics chosen for their comfort, performance, and longevity. Following the recommended care instructions will help preserve the fabric, colour, fit, and finish of your garment for years to come.
As different fabrics require different care, we recommend referring to the fabric-specific guidance below and always following the care label attached to your garment.
Fabric care guide
Every fabric has unique characteristics. Proper washing, drying, ironing, and storage will help maintain its appearance and extend the life of your Aeternum products.
Premium Linen
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colours, or hand wash for best results. Use a mild detergent and avoid harsh chemicals that may weaken the natural fibres.
Drying
Hang dry in the shade whenever possible. Avoid excessive tumble drying, as high heat may increase shrinkage and create unnecessary creasing.
Ironing
For a crisp finish, iron while the garment is still slightly damp using medium to high heat with steam.
Important Note
Natural creasing is one of linen's defining characteristics and adds to its relaxed elegance. Do not use bleach or strong stain removers. Store in a cool, dry place with adequate airflow.
Premium Cotton
Washing
Machine wash cold with similar colours using a mild detergent. Turning garments inside out before washing helps preserve colour and surface finish.
Drying
Line dry whenever possible or tumble dry on a low heat setting. Remove promptly after drying to minimise wrinkles.
Ironing
Warm iron if required, particularly around collars, cuffs, and seams for a refined appearance.
Important Note
Wash dark colours separately during the first few washes. Avoid bleach and harsh detergents. Excessive heat may cause unnecessary shrinkage.
Bamboo Fabric
Washing
Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle or hand wash using a mild detergent. Wash with similar colours.
Drying
Lay flat or hang dry naturally. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and high temperatures.
Ironing
If required, use a low heat setting or steam lightly.
Important Note
Avoid fabric softeners, as they may reduce the fabric's natural softness. Do not bleach. High heat may affect the fabric's performance and longevity.
Rayon
Washing
Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle using cold water and a mild detergent.
Drying
Do not wring or twist the garment. Hang dry naturally away from direct sunlight.
Ironing
Iron on low heat while the garment is slightly damp or use a steamer for best results.
Important Note
Rayon is more delicate when wet, so avoid excessive handling after washing. Do not tumble dry unless specifically mentioned on the care label. Store on a hanger to minimise creasing.
Terry Rayon (TR)
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Wash similar colours together.
Drying
Hang dry or tumble dry on a low heat setting. Remove promptly once dry to help maintain the garment's shape.
Ironing
Most garments require minimal ironing. If needed, use medium heat with light steam.
Important Note
The fabric's wrinkle-resistant properties help reduce the need for frequent ironing. Avoid excessive heat during washing or drying. Always follow the care label for blended fabrics.
Cotton Piqué
Washing
Machine wash cold with similar colours on a gentle cycle using mild detergent.
Drying
Hang dry or tumble dry on low heat. Remove promptly to reduce unnecessary wrinkles.
Ironing
Use medium heat if required, paying particular attention to the collar and placket.
Important Note
Reshape the collar while damp to maintain its structure. Avoid over-drying. Do not bleach.
